Jemma Elliott:

Jemma began archaeological illustration after a degree in Archaeology at Bristol and a subsequent Foundation Art and Design Course specialising in Illustration. Since then Jemma has worked for Cotswold Archaeology and Birmingham Archaeology as an Illustrator, graphic designer and web designer.

Jemma took the leap to freelance in february 2010 with a view to combining her core artefact illustration work with graphic design and marketing for the heritage industry. Jemma is based at Creek Creative Studios in Faversham, Kent and has continued to work with the University of Birmingham alongside her involvement with local projects.

Nigel Dodds:

Nigel has been involved in archaeological illustration from the mid 1980’s after being deflected from a career as a ‘famous painter’. He was trained originally for this at Birmingham Art School from which he obtained a degree in Fine Art.

Nigel is interested in most forms of illustration/visualisation ranging from 2D line work to 3D model-making (both real and virtual).
